The Sports and the Arts selected me to design large typographic images converted to wall graphics at brand-new Minnesota, Milwaukee, and Detroit venues.
Displayed in U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN.
Displayed in the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, WI.
Displayed in the Little Caesar Arena in Detroit, MI
These projects comprised posters and postcards commissioned for Football Executives from College, the National Football League, and the Minnesota Vikings.
I have created these word art projects in order to practice my skill with pen and ink. From there I scan the images and print them. I would be happy to create more of them as commissions. Contact me here: michaeljamesshay15@gmail.com
New illustrations featuring Spongebob & Patrick from their show Spongebob Squarepants, with the phrase "Who's Ready?" and "I'm Ready." The theme was bright and colorful, representing the light-heartened theme from the show and having the text flow with the bodies rather than cut through.
For the Detroit Red Wings, Sports and the Arts commissioned a Motown-themed wall graphic to appear in the new Little Caesars Arena. I researched the top artists and songs that came out of Detroit in Motown’s heyday.
These concepts are focused around the Chicago Cubs. Being a fan of this team, I began working on Cubs-related projects that vary from word art, editorial design, and infographics.
This word art series was commissioned by individuals connected to the NFL.
Based on the film of the same name about the Beatles, this page features the 15 songs. Images were hand-drawn on paper and vectorized in Adobe Illustrator for final output as posters.
